Nintendo will lower the prices of its DSi line of portable game hardware next month, it said Monday. The company’s Nintendo DSi will be lowered from $170 to $150 and the DSi XL will go from $190 to $170 starting on September 12, the launch day of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future . Have you got a Nintendo DSi or DSI XL? Well, September 12 might be your date, because Nintendo has stated their price drop to start that day. A Nintendo DSi will drop from $169 to $149, and the DSi XL will drop from $189 to $169. Check out the official press release below. With its release of a black Wii this week, Nintendo has tempted current owners of its videogame machine to trade their white consoles in for the slick new paint job. There’s just one problem: Nintendo does not offer gamers a way to transfer games purchased online from one console to another. By this time, a good majority of you have seen the head-tracking abilities of the Wii ( as illustrated by Johnny Chung Lee ).  While we have not seen any Wii game take advantage of that yet, it seems that they are moving forward with the DSi’s motion-tracking capabilities utilizing the DSi cameras.
