Trauma Team characters detailed by Atlus, a real doctor
Atlus has introduced the full compliment of the six staffers that make up its upcoming Trauma Team . I asked my wife, an actual doctor, to provide me with some insight on each specialty. My take: Playing as this guy sounds like the other Trauma Center games, except I think they all had names and CR-SO1 is not a name. I’m assuming that, as...

Ford, Dodge or Chevrolet?
Dodge, Ford or Chevrolet? There has always existed a battle of sorts between beliefs in the superiority of the type of car each team uses during the races of NASCAR. For Penske Racing, the only team that still works with Dodge Motorsports, the 2010 NASCAR season is just more of the same. While most teams and owners look at Penske’s alignment...

A Reaction to Playstation Move…
So, I was pretty sure I put this up yesterday, but I was in a flu/crappy weather induced fog and may have been imagining it. I’m not gonna treat you with one of my staple pre-news rants today, so let’s jump right in… If you pay any attention to the world of gaming then you know that this week is the annual Game Developers Conference...
Can Anyone Beat UConn?
Can Anyone Beat UConn?
It’s almost embarrassing, really. The UConn women’s basketball team has crushed every opponent they have played this season, even the teams ranked in the top ten.  They won 70-46 against Notre Dame , the third-ranked team in the country. If the sharp-shooting Irish can’t even give the Huskies a run for their money, who can?...

Ray Allen Wants All-Star Voting Changed
Ray Allen doesn’t have to worry about being singled out for his comments on the NBA All-Star voting structure. Most people, including me, agree with him. The comments came after it was announced that both Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady made the 2010 All-Star team. Allen basically asked the question we all were thinking — why? Ray Allen...

Nintendo’s E3: a post-mortem
New Super Mario Bros. Wii is currently getting rave previews After a conference that all but alienated core gamers last year, E3 2009 was a much more exciting one for Nintendo’s loyal fans. A series of core-focused announcements – admittedly almost entirely concentrated on established franchises – made for a more interesting...

Claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit
One of the more interesting opportunities to take a tax credit is offered by the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) . This is a credit designed to help workers with low incomes. For some who lost jobs this year, this credit becomes an option again. My husband and I took advantage of this credit for years when we first married and had…  Read More →
